About Transnational Hollywood
Transnational Hollywood is a collaborative gathering of film industry leaders and prominent scholars to discuss the transnational circulation of talent and motion picture content, and the making of international co-productions.
In the morning, the first Q&A session features a Hollywood veteran who pioneered contemporary models for international film projects and whose company provides advisory services to producers and financiers. The second morning session is a discussion with the head of international project packaging and financing at a major talent agency.
The afternoon roundtable focuses on the talent, stories, and genres that travel most fluidly across borders and around the world. It includes prominent players in the world of film production and distribution who are joined by an actor-director and a specialist in the distribution/promotion of French films in the US. They explore patterns of global circulation and shed light on the ways that the geography of Transnational Hollywood is being transformed in light of changing professional practices, government policies, and new technologies.
Each session is chaired by scholars who moderate the discussion with featured guests and invite questions from the audience.

This screening is free of charge and open to the public. Please bring a valid USC ID or print out of your reservation confirmation, which will automatically be sent to your e-mail account upon successfully making an RSVP through this website. Doors will open at 9:30 A.M.
All SCA events are OVERBOOKED to ensure seating capacity in the theater, therefore seating is not guaranteed based on RSVPs. The RSVP list will be checked in on a first-come, first-served basis until the theater is full. Once the theater has reached capacity, we will no longer be able to admit guests, regardless of RSVP status.
The USC School of Cinematic Arts is located at 900 W. 34th St., Los Angeles, CA 90007. Parking passes may be purchased for $12.00 at the USC Royal Street Entrance, located at the intersection of W. Jefferson Blvd. & Royal Street. We recommend the USC Royal Street Structure, at the far end of 34th Street.
