MLK Remembrance Day 2017 asks, “where do we go from here?” and offers film, workshops, and panels to help us understand how to use MLK’s legacy to navigate our times

The Reel Talk Film Series is our exciting lead-in to MLK Remembrance Day 2017 and opens at 11:00 am, Thursday, April 20, with a screening of UCLA Alumna Ava Duvernay’s “13th” in Haines 153, and concludes, at 7:00 pm, Monday, April 24, with a screening of “Moonlight” at the Northwest Campus Auditorium.

 

Other film screenings at the Northwest Campus Auditorium and/or De Neve Auditorium include: “Loving”, “Collateral Beauty”, “Birth of A Nation”, “Space Between Us” and a retrospective on the work of Stanley Nelson featuring his new documentary “Tell Them We Are Rising: The Story of Historically Black Colleges & Universities” at UCLA’s James Bridges Theater.
