In 2000, Angela Gibbs directed and co-wrote Dare to Struggle, Dare to Win on the women’s movement in Ghana, West Africa. The documentary focuses on Nana Rawlings, the former First Lady of Ghana, who headed the 31st December Women’s Movement. As the producer, David Massey put together an international filmmaking team from the United States and West Africa. They traveled over 3,000 miles throughout Ghana to film Dare to Struggle, Dare to Win.
The screening will begin at 7:00pm, followed by a Q&A with the director Angela Gibbs and producer David Massey.
