PRODUCTION INSURANCE FOR MY DOC
Greg Jones, Momentous Insurance Brokerage
Greg has been in the insurance industry since 1977, beginning his career as an underwriter at AIG and later becoming a licensed broker. His main focus is production insurance, dealing almost exclusively with independent Film & TV production companies. Over the course of his career, Greg has placed insurance for over 1,000 films, TV shows and commercials. His credits include Dances with Wolves, Die Hard with a Vengeance, The Tree of Life, Terminator: Salvation, Olympus Has Fallen, Expendables 2 and Expendables 3.
Greg maintains long-standing relationships, at the highest level, with companies that write production insurance. His depth of knowledge and experience allow him to think as an underwriter would, and he can thus articulate the needs of the client to underwriters in their own language. This often translates into better terms and pricing for the client. He is also an expert in getting difficult claims paid.
Greg holds a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from City University of New York - Lehman College, as well as an Associate's Degree in Risk Management (A.R.M.). Greg also passed the Series 7, 33 and 66 exams in 2000. He has given lectures at the University of Southern California, University of California, Los Angeles and the American Film Institute; and has been featured in such publications as Black Enterprise and Insurance Journal.
