This is the story of the aftermath following the 2014 killing of Black teenager Michael Brown Jr. by white police officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson, Missouri, and how his father strove for justice. The rising protest movement after Brown's death also fueled the Black Lives Matter movement that became internationally prominent. Along with a wide range of community members and perspectives, and glimmers of hope and evolution, this is an intimate portrayal of a father’s grief and resilience that bears witness to the human capacity to find purpose within pain.
